Configure Domain DNS for Use with Office 365


This article provides an outline for configuring Rad Web Hosting domain for use with Microsoft Office 365.

Access the DNS Manager

Login to the Hosting Dashboard and Navigate to Domains -> My Domains. Select the domain you wish to modify. From the Domain Management menu, select DNS Management.

Configure DNS for Office 365 Apps

In the DNS Manager, scroll to the bottom of the records list. Select Configure Office 365, which add/replace the required DNS and MX records to utilize Office 365 Exchange email hosting.

Add MX Record

You will also need to add an MX entry manually, as this record value is determined by Office 365. To get the appropriate value for your email server,

  1. Visit the domain configuration in Office 365.
  2. Select the appropriate domain that you are configuring.
  3. Under Exchange Online, copy the MX record provided, in the "Points to Address or Value" column.

  4. In the Rad Web Hosting DNS Manager for the domain, add the new MX values retrieved in the previous step.Create MX record for Office 365 Exchange email server
  5. Save changes.
  6. Remove any other MX records for this domain.

Your domain is now configured for use with Microsoft Office 365.
