How to Fix Incorrect cPanel Account Quotas and Disk Usage

This article will provide a step-by-step guide to fix incorrect account quotas and disk usage on a cPanel server. This guide assumes root account access.

Launch 100% SSD from $2.49/mo!

The Problem

If you are a cPanel server administrator, you may encounter a situation where all account quotas change to "Unlimited" and account disk usage is incorrectly calculated. This is a result of a corrupted disk quota file.

The Solution

As root user, run the following command via SSH terminal:

# /scripts/fixquotas -force

cpanel recalculate disk usage

Account quotas will now be restored to the settings defined in the account's Hosting Package. Disk usage will be recalculated and reflected in WHM.
