As of February 3rd, 2016, Rad Web Hosting has announced that they will be doubling the default RAM provided with its Intel Xeon E5 V3 (Haswell) series dual processor dedicated servers.

Clients who purchase a dual processor E5 V3 series dedicated server will now receive a minimum of 32GB DDR4 RAM. Previously, the default memory for these servers was 16GB RAM.

This upgrade was made in an effort to provide a greater value to their dedicated server clients and also to attract new business with higher resource requirements. In addition to doubling the RAM in these servers, Rad Web Hosting has also lowered RAM upgrade prices across all servers in order to make custom dedicated server configurations more affordable for their clients.

"We want to establish ourselves as an excellent choice for custom server configurations for all uses," a representative stated. "We believe that this change in RAM allocation will provide a greater value to our current clients and will further grow our hosting business by attracting new dedicated server clients."

The following servers were affected by the upgrade:

  • Dual Intel Xeon E5-2620 V3
  • Dual Intel Xeon E5-2640 V3
  • Dual Intel Xeon E5-2650 V3
