Unlike other traditional hosting platforms which are shared across an array of users, dedicated servers provide greater access to the server hardware, like RAM, CPU, disk, as well as network resources, like bandwidth. Additionally, 10Gbps dedicated servers give the user full-autonomy over the underlying system and software installed, broadening the number of use-cases whereby dedicated hosting is the preferable, or even required, solution. For projects requiring direct hardware access, special software configurations, or top-level administrative access, dedicated servers are the recommended solution.

We provision dedicated servers quickly. Our average provisioning time is just 2-6 hours for custom server builds. Once a server is fully-provisioned, your server details and root (Linux) or admin (Windows) credentials will be provided through our secure Client Portal.

You can always customize your dedicated server plan. Many customizations can be modified directly on our standard order form to meet specific requirements. We provide automated (unattended) installation of the most popular Linux server operating systems. Choose from CentOS, Fedora, Debian, Ubuntu, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux and more. Unless specifically stated, all of our servers are provided as unmanaged dedicated servers. If a managed dedicated server would better meet your requirements, we do offer full management for your server.

Yes, you will have full root access to your server. Root credentials will be delivered to you as soon as your server has provisioned.

Bandwidth overages-or "burst" (bandwidth exceeding monthly allotment)-is billed at $0.025/GB.

Unless stated otherwise, all servers include 4 IPs (/30 IPv4 subnet). You'll have the opportunity to upgrade your server’s IP assignment by choosing a /29 (8 IPs) or /28 (16 IPs) subnet on the order form. IP subnets greater than /28 can be provided, but will require IP justification and may cause delayed delivery of your server.

Yes, all servers support IPv6. Rad Web Hosting supports IPv6 enablement. Each dedicated server is automatically assigned a /64 IPv6 subnet (18,446,744,073,709,551,616 IPs) at no cost.
